In fact in 2023 U.S. News and World Report ranked it as the #1 City to live in America. Key Responsibilities : Develop and establish the new surgical department, including protocols and procedures. Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including soft tissue, orthopedic, and emergency surgeries. Collaborate with our team of specialists and emergency veterinarians to deliver comprehensive care. Educate staff and pet owners about surgical options, risks, and post-operative care. Lead and participate in ongoing training and development for the surgical team. Contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence in patient care. Qualifications : Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree. Board certification or residency training in surgery preferred, but not required. Proven surgical skills with experience in emergency surgery. Strong leadership abilities and a passion for mentoring. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
