Shift
CAD/Design Technician role responsible for developing manufacturing drawings and programming for millwork, fixture, and graphics projects. This hands-on position requires critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration with the Engineering team.
Job Summary
Woodworker/Cabinet Builder: The role requires meeting quality standards and deadlines, with flexibility to work weekends and extra hours if needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design technical drawings for internal and external approval
- Provide input and ideas for problem-solving
- Analyze and coordinate field measurements to revise shop drawings
- Annotate drawings with callouts for hardware, finishes, and assembly
- Monitor project issues, scope changes, and variances
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and handoff meetings
- Prepare and program machines for production
- Participate in project design phases, prototyping, and sample testing
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and organize files on internal servers
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills
- Strong background in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD/CAM software
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and a team player
- Self-motivated with excellent analytical and technical skills
- Strong communication skills for clear and concise drawings
- Knowledge of construction materials (fabrics, metals, plastics, woods, laminates, etc.)
- Proficiency in: AutoCAD, ALPHACAM, Microsoft Office
- Adobe programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign) a plus
- Associate's Degree in Drafting or Design or 1-2 years' experience in a related field
- Interpreting blueprints and shop drawings (not required but beneficial)
