Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:JOB SUMMARY:Under close supervision of U54 grant PIs/PD, senior research assistant, and the Research Infrastructure Core Director, the Biomedical Research assistant supports biomedical research activities within the Center for Biomedical and Health Research (CBMHR). This position assists with laboratory experiments, drug discovery, AI/ML drug discovery, bioanalysis, imaging, cell handling, drug formulation, small animal studies, and data collection. The role provides technical and operational support to CBMHR leadership, faculty, staff, and users, contributes to data reporting and dissemination, and supports federally funded research projects.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:This is an entry-level research assistant position designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree seeking advanced research training and experience in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences.
This is a Grant Funded position.

Hiring Range:$40,613.11 - 51,781.72
Education:Bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, chemistry, Computer science, physics or a closely related field. Prior laboratory research experience (academic or industry), including internships, capstone projects, or research assistantships, is required.

Work is performed primarily in a laboratory and routine office environment. May involve standing for extended periods, handling laboratory equipment, and lifting light objects. Adherence to laboratory safety guidelines is required.
