The Director of Compensation collaborates with Campus leaders to create compensation practices attracting talented individuals for competitive careers at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). This role is central to the People and Workplace Culture (PWC) structure of the College.
Administer, design, and analyze multiple College wage and salary programs for all staff and part-time employees through long range strategic planning and the development of policy recommendations, procedures, regulations, and forms to maintain equitable and competitive wage and salary programs.
Responsible for developing a compensation philosophy for the college, managing all classification, compensation, salary and pay programs for all staff and part-time positions. Responsible for advising College leadership on a balanced compensation strategy that supports the strategic direction of the College while considering the varying employee groups within the College.
Must partner strategically with other leaders across campus and within PWC to ensure that the delivery of a classification and compensation program is synergistic with HR's priority of enabling the institution, employee effectiveness, and other workforce strategies. Provide services and consultation in the areas of organizational and position design; position review and analysis; consultation on departmental pay philosophies and strategies; compensation analysis; and salary adjustment approvals and monitoring.
