Travel Dosimetrist - $3,639 per week in Oakland, CA

Job Title : Dosimetrist Profession : Radiology / Cardiology Specialty : Dosimetrist Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift : 09 : 00 - 17 : 30 Experience : Minimum 2 years required License : Valid State License required Certifications : CMD Must-Have : - Familiarity with the physical and geometric characteristics of radiation equipment and radioactive sources. - Expertise in measuring and generating radiation dose distributions and calculations under the direction of Oncologist and / or Medical Physicist. - Previous charge experience preferred. - Experience with charting systems is preferred. - Epic experience preferred. Description : Provides care to patients receiving radiation therapy treatments. Cares for patients from adolescent through geriatric age groups. Responsible for measuring and generating radiation dose calculations. Implements treatment planning and evaluation against clinical protocols. Utilizes advanced imaging techniques, including CT and MRI for dose calculations. Conducts QA for intensity-modulated radiotherapy plans. Engages in interdisciplinary support, collaborating with various teams. Handles all disease sites including liver, brain, lung, breast, prostate, and more. Administers specialized procedures and utilizes treatment technologies. Maintains patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment process.
