Opportunity : RN - Stepdown

Job Details :

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract length with bi-weekly orientation
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to other cardiac, stepdown, or tele units and may float between multiple campuses
• Frequency of floating : at least once a week for night shifts
• Patient ratio of 4-5 : 1 during night shift
• Must have 2 years of experience in specialty and 1 completed travel assignment
• No local candidates within 40-mile radius accepted
• Required certifications : IN Single State RN License, AHA BLS & ACLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting required, CUPID experience highly preferred
• Must pass tele tests for EKG interpretation
• Required skills : Start IVs, radial artery sheath removal, TR bands, arterial line management, manage / titrate cardiac drips, cardioversions, tele / 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Must be experienced in pre / post cath lab / EP procedures, PACU recovery, cardiac surgery admissions
• Patient population includes admissions, cardiac procedure recovery, pre / post cath lab / EP lab procedures, PACU recovery, cardiac surgery admissions, TAVR / LAAO recoveries
• 31-bed unit specializing in pre / post procedure cath lab, surgery admissions, and observation patients
• Dress code : Red scrub top, black scrub bottoms with no competing health system logos
• Teaching hospital environment may require precepting students and new hires
• 3 call-ins can result in termination
