Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a SMH Level 2 RN 534 Ortho / Trauma to work at a Facility in Rochester, NY . These are registry positions with our company.

This is a travel position located in Rochester, NY and they need to be over 50+ miles away to qualify for this role.

Traveler Hrly Rate $23.08

Gross Wages $830.88

Traveler Lodging $924.00

Travel M&I $560.00

Total Travel Stipend $1,484.00

Total Travel Pkg $2,314.88

Blended Rate $64.30

Minimum Qualifications :

At least one year (12 months) of experience as a RN Ortho / Trauma

A valid and current license issued by the state of NY

A valid and current BLS provider card (American Heart Association)

Ability to build rapport with patients

Compassionate and caring demeanor

Familiarity with medical terminology

Job Responsibilities :

Provide nursing care to orthopedic and trauma patients on a medical-surgical unit.

Perform focused assessments, including neurovascular checks and pain assessments.

Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses.

Manage post-operative care for orthopedic surgeries (hip, knee, spine, fractures, etc.).

Monitor surgical sites, wound drains, casts, and external fixation devices.

Assist with mobility, transfers, and early ambulation using proper safety techniques.

Collaborate with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other care team members.

Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, mobility precautions, and self-care.

Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns promptly.

Document assessments, interventions, and patient status accurately in the EMR.

Maintain infection-control practices and ensure a safe environment.

Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.

Support trauma patients with varying levels of acuity and stabilization needs.

Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care consistent with hospital standards.
