Salary and Benefits
Annual Base Salary for new Border Patrol Agents ranges from $49,739 to $89,518, depending on grade level (GL-5 / GL-7). Pay rates vary by duty location, and fully trained agents may receive additional compensation of up to 25% of their base pay. This is a career ladder position allowing progression through grade levels GL-5, GL-7, GL-9, GS-11, and GS-12, providing opportunities for advancement without the need to reapply.
