Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Data Engineer based in Dallas, TX. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data engineering solutions. Day-to-day tasks include developing data models, building efficient ETL pipelines, designing and maintaining data warehousing systems, and supporting data analytics initiatives. A key aspect of this role is managing the deployment and operationalization of data solutions, specifically utilizing container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes (k8s) to ensure scalability and reliability. The role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with business needs and drive effective decision-making.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a hands-on data engineering or related technical role.
• Expertise in Data Engineering and Data Modeling.
• Proficiency in building and managing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
• Significant experience in developing and optimizing Data Warehousing systems.
• Proven experience with deployment strategies and tools.
• Strong practical experience with Kubernetes (k8s) for deploying and managing data pipelines and services in a production environment.
• Strong skills in Data Analytics and related methodologies.
• Proficiency with programming languages, such as Python, SQL, or Scala.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus.
