[job_card.job_description]Position is in an acute care hospital radiology department specializing in nuclear medicine Monday through Thursday schedule, 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, 8-hour day shifts No weekend, holiday, call, or standby requirements Department has 1 scanner / room and uses GE equipment Performs general nuclear medicine studies including stress tests, HIDA scans, bone, renal, thyroid, and brain imaging Expected to assist with diagnostic general x-ray procedures during downtime Uses MEDITECH EMR and Merge RIS / PACS for documentation One week department-specific orientation provided No floating or cross-coverage to other areas required Responsible for performing weekly and monthly nuclear medicine QC and managing nuclear medicine pharmaceuticals Radiology team includes a lead tech and limited on-site radiologist support; off-hour studies are read remotely No specific scrub color or uniform required Local traveler applications not accepted; applicants must live beyond the facility's local radius Previous WVU employees must have a 2-year break before applying; cannot work longer than one year cumulatively within WVU before a 2-year break is required First-time travelers will be considered Role does not involve on-call or holiday coverage Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience BLS (AHA) certification required ARRT (R)(N) required Must be able to start IVs for studies Ability to work independently and perform quality control (QC) procedures Copy of unexpired driver's license required for consideration Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler’s agency; facility does not provide this License required if applicable High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
