Job Description & Requirements Specialty : NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 01 / 05 / 2026 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : RN - NICU Job Details : Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM 4 weekend shifts required per 4 week period with holiday rotation Floating required within scope to meet facility needs Patient ratios : 1 : 2, 1 : 3, or 1 : 4 dependent on acuity Guaranteed hours with potential cancellation of 1 shift per 2 week period 2 years of NICU experience required, preferably Level IV NICU (Level III considered case by case) Required certifications : BLS, NRP South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact State RN License required First time travelers not accepted Scrub requirements : Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal blue bottoms Charting system : EPIC Skills include care for neonates Must be aware of hurricane season emergency response team assignments from June through November All RTO must be provided at time of submission Parking permit available for $20 registration fee Facility : This 82-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit serves as the regional referral center, providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to premature and critically ill neonates. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The NICU offers specialized services including ECMO / CRRT, surgical support, and pediatric palliative care. The unit supports common diagnoses including prematurity, respiratory distress, and neonatal surgical conditions, with all beds being monitored beds and an infant home monitoring program available for discharge planning.
