AWS DevOps Engineer

We are hiring a Sr Level AWS DevOps Engineer to establish DevOps practices in support of their organizational direction. This role will, working in collaboration with development and operations, be responsible for design, implementation and support of DevOps pipeline capable of supporting high performing software solutions.

An ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and adopting emerging technologies keeping abreast with industry trends and evolutions and using this knowledge to deliver and support DevOps solutions that enable developers to deliver new feature and functionality on regular cadence without interruption.

Good team skills are essential for this role, as there is a great deal of day-to-day collaboration that takes place as we build and deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

Nice to Have

Linux

Automation first mindset

Knowledge of git, git workflows and branching strategies

Experience with command line in Linux environments

Experience working in AWS

Strong fundamentals and solid understanding of software development life cycle

Hands on experience with build and release pipelines using Gitlab CI

Experience with DevOps tools like AWS CloudFormation, (Terraform Nice to have)

Familiar with scripting in - Python

Experience working in an Agile development framework

Experience with performance monitoring and analysis tools

Strong written communication skills with experience writing concise, understandable technical documentation

Container orchestration experience

Cyber security certifications
