Licensed Vocational Nurse - Correctional Facility

Licensed Vocational Nurse Job Details:

Schedule: Night and Day shifts 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am /on site

Location: Houston, TX

Temporary to hire

Starting Pay Rate: Starting at $28.00/ hour + (based on experience)

Licensed Vocational Nurse Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage medication clinics, including medication administration and documentation with inmates.
• Provide support to prescribing providers during visits and follow-up.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and nursing documentation in compliance with state and facility guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, to ensure coordinated care.
• Promote a respectful, compassionate, and supportive atmosphere.

Education Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of LVN experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Texas LVN license required.

Education Requirements:

• SAMA Training Required
• CPR/BLS certification (AHA required)
• Immunizations: Hep B titer, TDAP, MMR, Varicella ( 2 Dose of titer)
• TB Test
• Active Texas LVN license required.
