We are looking for a dedicated Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations and ensure the smooth running of office functions. This contract position is based in Washington, District of Columbia, and involves tasks ranging from front-facing responsibilities to event coordination. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, personable, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities :
- Provide a welcoming presence by greeting visitors and maintaining a friendly atmosphere in the office.
- Manage incoming and outgoing packages, ensuring timely delivery and distribution.
- Restock office supplies, snacks, and beverages, and coordinate orders from vendors such as Costco and Amazon.
- Plan and organize company events, including scheduling, logistics, and vendor communication.
- Liaise with building maintenance to address service requests, including pest control and other facility needs.
- Offer basic IT support, such as setting up Zoom meetings in conference rooms.
- Handle reception tasks, including answering inquiries and managing inbound calls.
- Maintain office equipment and oversee day-to-day administrative functions.
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and software.
- Familiarity with ordering supplies and coordinating with vendors.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for IT-related tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
