General Maintenance

Duties :

The General Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of maintenance and engineering duties for the hospital's Facilities Department.

Would be assigned to work for the Engineering Manager or the Maintenance Planner / Coordinator on a regular basis

May also be assigned at times to receive guidance and instruction from a senior mechanic.

May also be assigned at times to receive guidance and instruction from the A.D.N. or Facilities Supervisor on call.

Incumbent is guided by a comprehensive and proven skill in the basic knowledge of building trades, which could include carpentry, paintint, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical repairs, plaint maintenance methods, techniques, procedures, and operation and use of department equipment and supplies.

Performs a variety of duties in maintaining, repairing and renovating plant and facilities. Performs a variety of building service duties. Services as a member of facility's fire response team.

Assists in removing snow from facility's grounds and maintains grounds as required.

9am - 5pm
