We are looking for a professional Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of heavy equipment and trucks. We are located in Somers, NY.

This position requires the ability to work independently, and in a group setting to accomplish tasks assigned.

To be successful in this role you must be physically and mentally fit and have a strong mechanical aptitude. Having knowledge and skills of the tools needed to perform basic maintenance and repairs is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills.

Our business experiences seasonal peaks, and as a result, the Mechanic should be available and willing to work longer hours when necessary.

Responsibilities include :

Work in a shop setting and out in the field, performing repairs to a wide variety of heavy trucks and equipment.

Troubleshoot issues.

Perform regular services as necessary.

Perform general shop duties as assigned by the owner.

Drive within the Hudson Valley as necessary to perform repairs or maintenance on the jobsites.

Qualifications :

Minimum 4 years’ experience working on heavy equipment and road vehicles.

Understanding of hydraulics systems.

Experience with diagnostic tools.

Ability to trouble shoot and repair electrical systems.

Comprehend service manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Maintain detailed records of services performed.

Must provide own basic tool set.

Able to lift 50 lbs.

Strong attention to detail.

CDL License
