Job Title : Database Administrator
Location : Englewood Cliffs, NJ
Type : Contract
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and support MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis across on-prem and AWS environments.
- Design and manage replication and high-availability solutions based on application needs.
- Administer and optimize AWS services including RDS, Aurora, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, S3, and EC2.
- Automate database operations and infrastructure using Ansible, CloudFormation, and scripting.
- Monitor database performance and health using CloudWatch, PMM, Datadog, MonYog, and related tools.
- Perform regular maintenance, capacity planning, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with development and DevSecOps teams on schema design, performance tuning, and security updates.
- Generate ad-hoc reports and provide operational insights as needed.
