Job Summary :
Responsible for assisting with the management of all aspects of the Arizona Department of Education's (ADE) data including but not limited to :
- Database backup and recovery
- Logical and physical database design
- Designing and writing stored procedures
- Disaster recovery
- Database maintenance, connectivity, replication, performance and tuning, upgrades, naming conventions and standards
- Installation and configuration of database software (SQL Server)
- Diagnosing and correcting database operational problems
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for jobs automation
- Configure and support Power BI datasets, gateways, and refresh schedules
- Design and develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for reporting and analytics
- Design and implement ETL processes for data integration and transformation
- Collaborate with application and BI teams to support data-driven solutions
- Implement version control and DevOps practices for database objects
- Occasional in-state travel is required for this position
The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.
