About the Role
The Accounting Executive will play a critical role in overseeing the entire accounting function, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting for statutory, management, and regulatory statements. This leadership position involves developing and implementing robust accounting policies, internal controls, and efficient closing processes.
Your responsibilities will include managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures, coordinating external audits, and collaborating closely with tax, treasury, and risk teams. By aligning accounting strategy with broader financial objectives, you will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights into accounting trends and driving system enhancements and process automation.
Additionally, you will guide the business through complex transactions, acquisitions, consolidations, and change initiatives, while building and mentoring a high-performing accounting team. Your leadership will strengthen governance and ensure that the accounting function supports informed decision-making and scalability.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, with a strong preference for professional accounting qualifications (such as CPA, CA, or ACCA). A substantial background in accounting leadership, particularly in complex or multi-entity environments, is essential. You should have deep technical expertise in accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS), consolidation and reporting, as well as internal controls (including SOX) and audit oversight.
Strong leadership abilities, exceptional communication skills, and stakeholder management skills are crucial. A proven track record of driving process improvements, implementing ERP / finance systems, and building high-performing teams under tight deadlines and regulatory scrutiny is expected.
