General Manager

This role will be responsible for leading Arcadia’s state of the art cold storage facilities. They will manage the performance of the location, oversee operations and logistics, provide guidance and support to our employees, and provide our customers with the best customer service in the industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Manage all warehouse activities, costs, operations and forecasts. Monitor operational performance and progress towards goals.
• Provide best in class customer service to our customers and peripheral stakeholders.
• Secure additional business and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Ensure that care, custody and control procedures are in place.
• Utilize Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) related to planning daily facility requirements.
• Promote the Open-Door philosophy and a team environment
• Cultivate a culture of productivity, belonging and responsibility. Communicate company goals and vision, objectives, and direction to warehouse staff.
• Provide a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify any safety concerns, as well as cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, as well as all Federal, State and Local OSHA regulations.
• Other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree in business, logistics or management plus 5-8 years in warehousing and/or logistics management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years general supervisory/management experience.
• Skilled in planning, staffing, budgeting, and organizing.
• Ability to develop effective relationships, provide leadership, and integrate diverse functions and individuals toward profitability objectives.
• Experienced with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Familiar with WMS and RF.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to solve complex problems
