Security Officer - Armed Facility Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Facility Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and foster a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and care. Pay Rate : $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 06 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Tue 06 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Sun 06 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and company protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas, reporting any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, patrol activities, and observations during each shift.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency responders if situations escalate or require additional support.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors within the government facility.
  • Follow all Allied Universal policies and procedures, as well as those of the client site, to maintain a secure environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide one of the following : DD214 with honorable discharge, associates degree or at least 60 college credits, police academy certificate, or corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
