Dimensional Quality Assurance Inspector — Warsaw, IN (2nd Shift)
Step onto our 2nd shift in Warsaw, IN and own the last line of defense between good and great. From incoming materials to work-in-process to the final product, you’ll safeguard conformance to customer, work order, and print specifications—turning drawings and standards into confident approvals.
A day in your work
As the shift gets underway, you’ll review drawings, job routers, and visual standards, then move from station to station validating parts with function gages and visual overlays. You’ll capture dimensional data in Datamyte Quality Reporting Software, record findings on Shop Travelers and inspection sheets, and separate any non-conforming material—issuing nonconforming reports when needed. Before the shift ends, you’ll confirm paperwork accuracy across the process and ensure everything aligns with company policies and procedures.
What you’ll tackle
- Inspect received material, work-in-process, and finished goods against customer, work order, and print specifications.
- Use function gages and visual overlays to determine acceptance per drawings, job routers, and visual criteria.
- Complete inspection records, checklists, Shop Travelers, and related documentation accurately.
- Enter dimensional measurements into Datamyte Quality Reporting Software.
- Identify, segregate, and document non-conforming products; generate nonconforming reports as required.
- Operate Micro-Vu, Keyence, comparators, micrometers, calipers, and other measurement gauges.
- Verify paperwork completeness and accuracy throughout the process flow.
- Follow all Company policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring
High School Diploma or equivalent.Solid math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).Ability to read and interpret product and manufacturing prints; strong grasp of GD&T.Comfort lifting up to 50 lbs.Hands-on experience with measurement equipment : Micro-Vu, Keyence, comparators, micrometers, calipers.Effective interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision.Inspection experience preferred; experience with programmable vision system inspections preferred.Working knowledge of Epicor, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Who thrives here
