Position Title : Commercial Electrical Foreman

Location : Pottstown, PA Occasional Out-of-State Travel Required

Position Type : Hourly, Full-Time.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead electrical crews on commercial construction projects. This role focuses primarily on commercial electrical installations, with occasional support on industrial job sites where collaboration with mechanical teams may be required.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on electrical experience, and a commitment to safety and quality. While experience with PLCs and reading wiring schematics is a plus, it is not required for this role.

This position requires occasional out-of-state travel to support project needs.

Key Responsibilities :

Commercial Electrical Installation & Supervision

  • Lead the installation of electrical systems in commercial settings, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Perform inspections and testing to verify system functionality and code compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.

Occasional Industrial Support

  • Assist with electrical tasks on industrial job sites as needed.
  • Collaborate with mechanical teams on equipment installations and system integration.
  • Support wiring and commissioning of electrical components in industrial environments.

    • Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor a team of electricians and apprentices.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to high-quality standards.
  • Provide training and promote a culture of safety and accountability.

    • Project Coordination

  • Work with project managers to align electrical work with project timelines and goals.
  • Interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams to plan and execute tasks.
  • Manage materials and ensure timely delivery and proper storage.

    • Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.

    • Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical work.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in construction or related fields.
  • Valid journeyman or master electrician license (preferred).
  • Familiarity with PLCs and ability to read wiring schematics (preferred but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for out-of-state projects.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders for extended periods.
  • Able to work in fast-paced environments with active equipment.

    • Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical work.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in construction or related fields.
