As a Security Guard - Academic Building Rounds in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and routine patrols contribute to a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment.
  • Document observations and incidents in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Collaborate with campus personnel and / or local authorities when appropriate to address incidents or emergencies.
  • Remain alert to changing conditions within the education environment and adapt patrols and responses accordingly.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
