Description

About this role. The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and services necessary for production. This role requires someone who can balance cost, quality, and lead times while building strong relationships with suppliers. You'll work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to keep the lines running without interruptionand to keep costs in check.

Responsibilities :

• Source and buy raw materials, parts, and manufacturing supplies as needed, ensuring timely deliveries to support production schedules
• Evaluate vendor quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and drive cost improvements without sacrificing quality
• Review and release purchase orders, track delivery status, and resolve any supply or quality issues
• Partner with engineering, planning, and production to understand requirements and anticipate needs
• Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, pricing, and performance metrics
• Identify and vet new suppliers, perform risk assessment, and qualify vendors in alignment with company standards
• Monitor material shortages and expedite orders as required
• Support inventory management by working with logistics and production teams
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
