Job Summary
The Counselor is responsible for the overall care of clients, ages 18+, helping them to break the cycle of addiction and return to their families and communities, in compliance with the Virginia Administrative Code regulations. The position will report to the Clinical Director and work collaboratively with other members of the clinical team.
Completion of the biopsychosocial assessment following pre-assessmentDeveloping and executing individualized treatment plansPresenting clients in treatment team meetingsMaintaining contact with related external individualsDischarge / referral planningConduct psychoeducational groups, therapeutic process groups, individual counseling, and other therapeutic activitiesMaintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with the Virginia Administrative Code regulations and agency policies and procedures.Collaborate with other members of the clinical team to ensure that clients receive comprehensive and integrated care.Attend regular supervision and training sessions to ensure compliance with the Virginia Administrative Code regulations and agency policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned.Bachelor's degree in social or health services fieldMaster's degree in social or health services fieldVirginia license or certification : CSAC, LMSW, LCSW, LPC-Resident, LPC, LMFTWe encourage qualified candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
