[job_card.job_description]Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation; CPA and / or MST strongly preferred. 5–7 years of experience in a multi‑state corporate or public accounting environment with SEC exposure. Experience in the life science industry. Significant experience with tax provisioning. MS in tax (desired). Strong knowledge of ASC 740, including stock‑based compensation and uncertain tax positions. Proficiency in Excel; experience with LongView is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Extensive experience in year‑end provisions. Tax Manager – Waltham, MA (Hybrid) – 10 month contract
Base pay : $70.00 / hr - $90.00 / hr
Hybrid : 2‑3 days per week on site
Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly and annual US (federal & state) and international tax provisions, including ASC 740 disclosures.
- Coordinate with external auditors for tax provision audits.
- Oversee preparation and review of federal, state, and international income tax filings.
- Manage return calendar, extensions, and estimated payments.
- Support R&D credit calculations with external advisors.
- Resolve tax notices and close audits.
- Maintain tax compliance processes and documentation for SOX 404.
- Conduct tax research and monitor legislative changes.
