The Kofax Developer is responsible for designing developing and implementing advanced document automation and intelligent capture solutions using Kofax technologies. This role involves creating custom workflows developing extraction models integrating enterprise applications and maintaining the technical infrastructure that supports Kofax platforms. The developer collaborates with business stakeholders architects and cross-functional IT teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions that optimize document processing and organizational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Solution Design & Development :

Design develop and implement custom Kofax workflows and intelligent capture processes.

Build and configure Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) for document classification and data extraction.

Develop reusable components scripts and automation logic aligned with business requirements.

Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for new and enhanced solutions.

Conduct technical analysis and propose architectural improvements for scalability and performance.

Process Automation :

Automate the capture extraction classification and routing of structured and unstructured document types.

Enhance OCR accuracy through custom scripting templates and machine learning-based extraction techniques.

Optimize end-to-end document workflows to reduce manual effort and processing time.

Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshoot workflow or extraction issues.

Integration & System Development :

Integrate Kofax platforms with enterprise applications such as ECM systems databases and cloud services.

Build and consume REST and SOAP-based services for real-time data exchange.

Implement API-based solutions for seamless connectivity across business systems.

Coordinate with architects and external vendors on integration standards and security compliance.

Scripting & Coding :

Develop automation logic using C# JavaScript and VBScript.

Implement object-oriented solutions to support custom modules components and system extensions.

Create custom scripts for classification extraction data validation and workflow orchestration.

Configuration Deployment & Maintenance :

Install configure upgrade and tune Kofax Capture KTM KTA or related Kofax components.

Manage servers scanners licensing service packs and application patches.

Perform environment setup migration and deployment of Kofax solutions across dev / test / prod.

Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of automation platforms.

Documentation Testing & Compliance :

Develop and maintain technical documentation including HLD LLD architecture diagrams and user guides.

Create and execute test plans unit tests and validation scripts for solution releases.

Ensure all configurations code and integrations meet organizational standards and compliance requirements.

Maintain detailed records of changes deployments and technical decisions.

Collaboration & Support :

Work closely with business analysts project managers and end-users to understand automation needs.

Provide production support troubleshoot issues and resolve defects in a timely manner.

Participate in agile ceremonies sprint planning and technical reviews.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to best-practice development standards.

General Responsibilities :

Manage multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision.

Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with project timelines.

Participate in trainings knowledge-sharing sessions and continuous skill development.

Maintain strict confidentiality of client and enterprise data.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications : Education & Experience :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or related field (preferred).

Minimum 8 years of experience in Kofax development and intelligent automation.

Hands-on experience with Kofax Capture KTM KTA or related Kofax platforms.

Experience in designing enterprise-grade automation solutions and integrations.

Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities :

Strong expertise in C# JavaScript and VBScript.

Solid understanding of object-oriented design and enterprise development patterns.

Deep knowledge of OCR document classification and data extraction technologies.

Proficiency with web services (REST / SOAP) and integration methodologies.

Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary IT teams.

Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Flexibility to support extended hours deployments or production escalations when required.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.
