A company is looking for a Coordinator, Insurance Verification.
Key Responsibilities
Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility, and document coverage restrictions
Obtain referrals or authorizations from primary care offices or insurance companies
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve insurance issues and index incoming records / referrals
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Certificate from College or Technical School preferred
2 - 3 years' minimum experience in medical or related field required
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Knowledge of health insurance industry practices and / or medical billing procedures
Computer literacy required, experience with medical scheduling / billing systems is preferred
