Senior Category Manager

A company is looking for a Category Manager Senior to manage activities associated with Direct Material products category.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complex multi-year supplier relationships and strategic sourcing activities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving initiatives and drive value in the supply chain

Negotiate supplier contracts and analyze market conditions to prepare market analysis reports

Required Qualifications

BA or BS degree in Supply Chain / Operations Management or a related field

7 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with strategic Procurement / Supply Chain experience

Proven success in supplier management and sourcing in low-cost regions

Experience working in a matrix-driven organization and with multiple global locations

General knowledge of direct material categories such as steel, resin, and forgings is a plus
