As a Process Engineer – Rolling , you’ll play a key role in improving product quality and reducing costs through process optimization, trials of new methods and materials, and collaboration with R&D teams.
Your Role at a Glance
- Provide technical support for hot rolling operations, including reheat furnaces, piercer, rolling mill, sizer, and straightener.
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures.
- Train operators and reduce variation in key process indicators.
- Lead Continuous Improvement Teams.
- Benchmark existing technologies and evaluate new processes and materials.
- Identify and present Capital Expenditure projects; lead CapEx initiatives.
- Coordinate project activities with Vallourec R&D centers, external research organizations, and universities.
What Sets You Apart
We’re looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation :
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or metallurgical engineering / Material Science (or equivalent).1–3 years of steel industry experience preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical techniques.Effective oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels.Project management experience for process improvement and / or product development.Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.Demonstrated leadership potential and team-building skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).What Powers Your Performance
