LabTest Engineer

Team Red Dog is looking for an experienced Lab / Test Engineer to join our Global Technology clients cutting-edge hardware development team. This exciting hybrid (Redmond WA) opportunity will allow you to contribute to groundbreaking technology deployed across the Azure fleet collaborating with top engineers to develop configure and test server hardware systems in both Windows and Ubuntu environments. Top Required Skills (Must Haves) :

• 8 years of experience testing and validating data center or server hardware including configuration and diagnostics.
• 8 years of hands-on development experience with C and Python to design and automate test processes.
• 2 years of experience with CI / CD and Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines to streamline and monitor test execution.
• Strong understanding of hardware operating systems (Windows Server Ubuntu Server) and scripting for automation.

How you will make an impact :

Configure deploy and manage test environments across Windows and Ubuntu servers.

Develop execute and refine automated and manual test plans for server hardware validation.

Perform system diagnostics troubleshoot hardware issues and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.

Write and interpret scripts in C Python and batch or shell languages to optimize testing efficiency.

Produce detailed reports on test results defects and system performance.

Participate in developing CI / CD pipelines to support continuous integration and hardware deployment.

Support open-source and internal code review processes to ensure code integrity and performance.

Identify and define test metrics quality standards and risk indicators across projects.

The expertise you bring :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

810 years of experience in hardware testing configuration or system validation.

Strong proficiency in C Python and SQL; Rust experience is a plus.

Proven ability to work across Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu) environments.

Knowledge of software QA practices version control and deployment workflows.

Familiarity with networking fundamentals and internet protocols.

Ability to manage multiple projects and pivot as priorities shift.

Strong analytical skills and excellent documentation / reporting abilities.
