Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and in-depth observational analysis.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication methods, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow healthcare professionals-such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caretakers, and family members-to devise a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Engage in patient and family education initiatives to bolster progress outside clinical settings.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, facilitating a seamless continuum of care throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Remain abreast of the latest advancements in speech pathology through continued educational opportunities and peer dialogue.

Education

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.
  • Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of your employment.

  • Expertise in implementing evidence-based treatment methodologies for all age groups, accompanied by a robust understanding of developmental as well as acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, their families, and diverse interdisciplinary teams.
