ERS-Director Service Operations - Atlanta

Job Description

SUMMARY

Responsible for overall operations and business development in the region, as well as establishment of new area service centers as appropriate. Expected to be the Region's principal technical resource and to provide business and managerial direction to the service center. Also the source of teamwork for the region and promotes the concept of the overall Company team to the region. Responsible for establishing and meeting region sales and profit objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for overall operations and business development in the region.
• Develop the region profit plan using the Region Management Committee, and periodically review the plan to ensure that the region is on track.
• Spot-check and review all proposals, reports, expense accounts, job files, and other region documentation.
• Develop proposals and sign contracts consistent with limits of authority.
• Provide business and managerial direction to the service centers.
• Hold regular periodic management committee meetings to promote effective region communication.
• Work with the regional operations management and marketing services to promote new business.
• Supervise a group of Service Center Managers.
• Perform employee performance reviews and recommend appropriate salary changes.
• Principal technical resource.
• Coordinate technical training and assist with career development for region personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Graduate Engineer BSEE or equivalent and ten years in related field experience.
• Requires a high degree of communication, supervisory, organizational and good management skills.
• Communicate effectively, writing and verbally, with clients, peers and management.
• Strong computer skills including editing, formatting and using templates in Microsoft Word, use of Internet for standards/products/manufacturer research and operation of computer controlled test equipment.
• Willing to do some overnight travel to cover field region.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk and hear. Required to sit and work at computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Expected to update business and managerial skills through continuing education.
• This job description along with orally conveyed standards of performance are open for annual negotiation by this position's supervisor.
• Valid Driver's License
