Benefits :Provider Development Program Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Development Track
Southern Nevada Family Medicine & Southern Nevada Occupational Health Center
Las Vegas, Nevada
Southern Nevada Family Medicine and Southern Nevada Occupational Health Center are pleased to offer the Nicknam Provider Development Program , a structured, residency-style training initiative designed for newly graduated Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs). The program was developed and is overseen by Amir Nicknam, MD, MPH, CIME , Board-Certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow in Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
This program provides a formalized pathway for new mid-level providers to transition safely and effectively into clinical practice. As both clinics serve as established teaching sites for DO, PA, and NP students completing rotations in Family Medicine and Occupational Health, the Provider Development Program extends this educational environment to newly licensed providers seeking comprehensive post-graduate training.
Participants in the program engage in a blend of observational learning, hands-on clinical experience, and structured mentorship. Under the direct guidance of Dr. Nicknam and senior clinical staff, providers develop core competencies in family medicine, pre-employment examinations, DOT physicals, and occupational health services. Throughout the program, participants receive ongoing evaluation, clinical oversight, and performance feedback to support consistent professional growth.
Following successful completion of the initial training period, providers continue under a two-year agreement designed to reinforce clinical independence, strengthen clinical decision-making, and ensure adherence to organizational standards of care and patient management. The programs overarching objective is to develop competent, confident, and well-rounded providers who can effectively manage patient care in a high-volume clinical setting.
Compensation and salary progression will be reviewed with candidates during the interview process. Candidates must hold an active PA or NP license and obtain their DOT certification prior to entering the program.
This opportunity is ideal for new graduates seeking a structured, supportive environment to build a strong clinical foundation and advance their professional development within a growing healthcare organization.
