Post-operative care for craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resections Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries Care for hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients in our Comprehensive Stroke Program Deliver and oversee comprehensive, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compassionate care Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking to support optimal patient outcomes Contribute to enhancing the patient experience across the care continuum Become part of a supportive team culture that values connection and teamwork Thrive in an environment promoting continuous learning and patient-centered care Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, implement individualized care plans, and evaluate effectiveness Recognize significant changes in patient conditions and take appropriate actions Implement strategies aimed at reducing patient risks and enhancing safety Coordinate patient discharge plans with an interdisciplinary approach Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance departmental function Demonstrate strong communication and conflict resolution skills, fostering teamwork Encourage a culture of safety by identifying and acting on potential threats to patient well-being Participate in professional development activities and meetings Valid Registered Nurse license from the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited provider Completion of an accredited nursing program A minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience Ability to provide holistic patient care, focusing on patient and family perspectives Proficiency in electronic medical records and general computer skills Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods Exposure to potential hazards in a healthcare environment, requiring appropriate protective measures
