Oxford Solutions has a new opportunity for a Front Desk Receptionist with an engineering client for an onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees, clients, prospects, and visitors and plays a key part in supporting daily office operations within a technical, consulting-focused environment.
The ideal candidate is polished, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-office setting. Prior experience supporting an engineering or technical team is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls in a multi-office environment
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
- Provide backup administrative support to office staff as needed
- Perform basic data entry, filing, and document preparation tasks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a receptionist or administrative role within a technical, engineering, or similar professional environment
- Experience navigating a computer network and office systems
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities effectively
- Familiarity with engineering consulting firm operations is a plus
