Ophthalmic Technician
We are currently seeking an Ophthalmic technician to join our team full time Monday through Friday clinics (no weekends). We are dedicated to excellence in patient care and serving our community. The ideal candidate can demonstrate an understanding of essential Ophthalmic Technician competencies and apply them in a fast-paced environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your role will involve performing preliminary exams including patient histories, visual acuity, lensometry, refractometry, pupil evaluation, EOMs, confrontational fields, angle assessment, applanation tonometry, I-care and pachymetry. You should become skilled at performing diagnostic testing such as OCT, HVF, Topography, and A-scan, IOL master and Immersion.
The Ophthalmic Technician will report to the Practice manager. In this role, you will assist where needed in the clinic with an emphasis on teamwork and productivity. Our technicians’ duties may rotate and very during the week. Daily assignments may be call center triage, ophthalmic testing, scribing, and / or patient work ups, based on the needs of the practice.
