Vascular Surgery Clinical Nurse

In the Vascular Surgery – C5 Unit, you will care for patients experiencing a variety of vascular diseases across a diverse age range. Our patients often have complex co-morbidities and require telemetry monitoring. Your role is essential in providing compassionate care to those undergoing procedures such as Carotid Endarterectomy and Vascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repairs.

Key Responsibilities :

• Implement physician orders and administer medications; start IVs and perform necessary treatments, procedures, and tests.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
• Assess patient needs and evaluate responses to care provided.
• Apply sound nursing judgement when making management decisions regarding patient care.
• Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer both over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered by the physician.
• Collaborate with fellow nursing team members to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of nursing professionalism.
