We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager who will travel throughout Northern CA to support and oversee underground FTTH (fiber to the home) construction projects. This role requires frequent travel to job sites across the region and a strong background in HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial) systems and underground telecom work. The ideal candidate has a proven history of leading field operations managing multiple crews ensuring safety compliance and successfully delivering high-quality construction projects on schedule.

The Role
Travel daily / weekly throughout Northern CA markets to manage daily operations of underground FTTH construction projectsProvide on-site leadership and direction to field crews and subcontractorsEnsure adherence to FTTH Construction Projects specifications and installation requirementsConduct job site inspections quality audits and safety evaluationsReview construction prints redlines and project plans for accuracy and feasibilityCoordinate schedules materials permitting equipment needs and labor planningMaintain strong communication with internal leadership field staff clients and external stakeholders including local jurisdictions and railroad authoritiesMonitor production metrics manage budgets and ensure projects remain on scheduleIdentify risks troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions promptlyPrepare and submit required reports documentation and progress updatesRequirements
5 years of experience managing underground telecom construction specifically Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH)Strong working knowledge of HFC systems and related construction methodsProven ability to lead multiple crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environmentAbility and willingness to travel daily / weekly throughout Northern CaliforniaStrong understanding of construction drawings utility standards and permittingExcellent communication leadership and problem-solving skillsExperience working with telecommunications contractors or major fiber providersSafety certifications (OSHA 10 / 30 First Aid / CPR etc.).Experience working with local municipalities and utility companies in Northern CaliforniaProficiency in construction tracking softwareExcellent verbal and written communication skills including client interaction and reportingAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditions in tight or elevated spaces and on varied terrainPhysically able to lift / carry up to 70 pounds climb and work on ladders (up to 28 feet) and perform tasks involving bending reaching twisting and standing for extended periodsComfortable working in moderate to high noise environments and around mechanical electrical and power equipmentMust utilize proper PPE and follow safety protocols including for handling hazardous materialsWillingness to work outside normal business hours as needed (including evenings weekends holidays and overtime)Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a drivers license is required if the role involves drivingPassing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR Background Check Drug Screen)The compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
