As a Forklift Operator, you will initially engage in picking duties for the first 2-3 weeks before receiving forklift certification. Your primary role involves operating a sit-down forklift for 80% of your workday, focusing on moving bins across the production floor, inspecting loads, building pallets, picking orders, and general cleaning. You will operate a single-double forklift capable of picking up two pallets at a time.

Responsibilities :

• Operate a sit-down forklift, focusing on floor level tasks without intricate rack work.
• Move bins to various locations on the production floor and ensure proper storage in the HPP / Bottling area.
• Supply the HPP process with juice, keeping bin dumpers stocked and organized to prevent mixing.
• Utilize NetSuite via computer, phone, or handheld devices for transporting materials in the bottling department.
• Manage dunnage, load trailers, and ensure the proper organization of pallets and materials.
• Document pallet counts and wrap pallets securely in real-time in the Packaging / Packout area.
• Organize the Packaging / Packout areas, return unused materials systematically using NetSuite / RF Smart systems.
• Ensure compliance with SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines in the plant.
• Report any safety concerns or misuse of equipment promptly.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the designated work areas.

Work Environment :

Work in a dynamic environment with opportunities for growth. The work environment may be wet or dry, with temperatures as low as 35F, similar to a Costco cold room. You will be assigned to any of the three buildings based on daily needs and provided with proper PPE for cold environments. The majority of production occurs in the refrigerator area.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, CA.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
