Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Site in South Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and professional engagement. This armed post involves routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Interact with the public and staff at the location to offer assistance and support as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Follow all company and client policies related to the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
