Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Special Education teaching opportunities are available within a K-12 school district located in the Denver area, with multiple full-time contract positions starting ASAP through the end of the 2025-2026 school year. These roles present the chance to work directly on-site at various schools serving diverse student populations with specialized needs.

Positions and locations include :

Affective Needs Teacher at Rocky Mountain Elementary School (Jan 5, 2026 End of School Year)
Learning Specialist at Thunder Vista P-8 (ASAP End of School Year)
Significant Support Needs (SSN) Teacher for students with significant cognitive challenges at Century Middle School (ASAP End of School Year)
Learning Specialist at Thornton Middle School (ASAP for at least 3 months, with possible extension through end of school year)

Qualifications & Requirements :

Active Colorado Department of Education teaching certification in Special Education

Experience working with K-12 students requiring special education services, including affective needs, significant cognitive support, or learning specialization

Ability to provide full-time onsite support (35+ hours per week) with no hybrid or remote options

Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation to collaborate with school staff and families

Flexibility and dedication to meet diverse student needs across multiple specialized settings

Responsibilities :

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs

Deliver specialized instruction and therapeutic support to students with varying disabilities

Monitor and assess student progress, adapting plans as needed

Maintain detailed documentation and communicate regularly with families and school teams

Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
