Maintenance Technician Entry Level - Full Time

Pyramid Healthcare | Newport News, VA

Pyramid Healthcare at Newport News is an Inpatient Residential Treatment Center for adults with Substance Use Disorders. We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain a safe and functional environment for our clients and staff.

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM (Rotating on-call responsibilities)

Pay Rate : 15-16 per hour

Position Overview :

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in our operations, ensuring our facility is safe, secure, and well-maintained. This position involves various maintenance duties, including carpentry, painting, electrical work, plumbing, groundskeeping, and light janitorial tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform general carpentry and building repairs
• Conduct painting, electrical work (if qualified), and plumbing repairs
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, fans, and lighting fixtures
• Maintain interior and exterior spaces, including painting and decorating
• Ensure proper functioning of laundry equipment and other facility equipment
• Operate and maintain tools, including hand tools, saws, drills, and pipe cutters
• Keep records of time spent and materials used
• Maintain a safe, risk-free facility environment
• May oversee an assigned helper when needed
• Perform additional maintenance tasks as required
