DPAS Technician (Hybrid Remote)
AFO is looking for a DPAS Technician to work in MacDill AFB, FL. This hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from the position location. The responsibilities include developing logistics strategies and recommending changes to processes to keep programs ahead of schedule. Additionally, the role involves assessing, managing, and reducing risk factors, enhancing workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory, and creating and reviewing procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. The technician will conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory, and analyze requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates. They will also maintain appropriate records and prepare reports, coordinate logistics activities with internal / external customers, and handle basic issues and problems while referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Qualifications include a minimum of an associate's degree in Financial Management, Program Management, or Logistics field. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of combined experience with DOD or other federal agencies in Financial Management, Program Management, and Logistics. Additionally, at least 2 years' experience as a program / project lead supporting implementation and sustainment, and at least one year of experience operating in a Logistics Information System (LIS) are required. Preference is given to candidates with one year SOF experience with knowledge of USSOCOM enterprise, subordinate organizations, and service roles and responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also required. The candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance prior to day one of employment.
