Job Description : Responsibilities :
- The Production / Broadcast Engineer will be responsible for providing front-line broadcast engineering and technical support across multiple studios and control rooms within the Stamford Sports facility.
- The role involves supporting all broadcast systems and technology for live day-of-air programs, troubleshooting hardware and systems, complying with computer security policies, and managing projects that include system design, integration, and commissioning.
- This position requires a combination of maintenance and project management / system engineering skills.
- The support needs span seven days a week, with certain periods requiring availability as part of a 24x7 schedule.
Responsibilities :
Perform system-level troubleshooting of technical facilities, including control rooms, o studio equipment, audio equipment, and associated computer systemsConduct preventative maintenance on studio and control room equipmentAssist Studio Operations with technical setup in control rooms and studiosCollaborate with production and operations teams to implement technical solutionsthat meet production initiativesInstall and update equipment and systems softwareRepair and troubleshoot equipment to the module level using industry-standard testequipmentManage projects, design systems, and assist with system integration andCommissioningQUALIFICATIONS
Basic Requirements :
2+ years of experience in a television broadcast environment or an equivalent o combination of education and experienceBS degree in Engineering, Communications, or a related field or equivalent relevantexperienceDesired Characteristics :
Proficiency with broadcast production systems and software, including audio consoles, intercom systems, video switchers, wireless audio, server-based playout, and test and measurement equipmentUnderstanding of TCP / IP networksKnowledge of digital TV (HDSDI)Proficiency in software-driven broadcast video equipmentAbility to read and understand system signal flow diagrams for television control room and studio facilitiesExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and focused under the pressures of live televisionStrong hands-on problem-solving skills with broadcast-related equipment and systemsUnderstanding of the urgent needs of on-air sports and the ability to remain productive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environmentAbility to support a 24x7 production environmentWillingness and ability to learn new production technologiesPreferred experience in live production environmentsKnowledge of computer server installation and maintenanceSpecific experience with :
