As the Bank's lead financial executive, the Chief Financial Officer plays a crucial role in the implementation of the Bank's strategic business plan. Central expectations of this role are as follows :
Strategic Planning
- Work with executive management team to create annual budgets and strategic business plan.
- Management of the Bank's liquidity position.
- Lead long-term budgetary planning and cost management with the bank's strategic plan.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance.
- Capital planning.
- Tax strategies and planning.
- Manage the Bank's investment portfolio.
- Negotiate certain bank contracts.
Reporting
Quality and accuracy of financial reporting; adherence to generally accepted accounting principles.Preparation and filing of quarterly call reports.Various reports and deliverables to the Board of Directors.Operations
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.Work closely with all levels of executive management.Identification of best practice methodologies.Implementation and maintenance of internal controls.Manage loss reserve account.Bank examination preparation.Risk Management
Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements.Oversee the firm's risk management and compliance framework, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.Tracking and measurement of inherent operational risks.Member of the audit committee.Maintenance of Bank's stress-testing models for liquidity, rate shock and asset quality.Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, banking experience required .Strong knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team.Job Type : Full-time; Monday to Friday; 40 hours per week
