Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the operation of industrial equipment throughout the Distribution Center. This includes performing preventative maintenance on various high-speed unit sorters, case sorters, PLC controllers, conveyor controls, ASRS systems, and more.

Responsibilities :

• Perform preventative maintenance on high-speed unit sorters including Cross Belt, Tilt Tray, and Sliding Shoe.
• Maintain and troubleshoot case sorters such as Narrow Belt, Pop Up, Sliding Shoe, and Swivel wheel.
• Handle PLC controllers, including understanding processes and I / O (inputs & outputs).
• Troubleshoot conveyor controls such as Pyramid and devices like photo eyes, encoders, scanners, and dimensioners.
• Work with VFD controls and ASRS systems (Automatic Storage & Retrieval System).
• Maintain MDR conveyors (Motorized Drive Roller) and powered curve conveyors.
• Apply electrical knowledge for systems with voltages of 600v, 480v, 240v, 120v, 24v, and 12v.
• Manage transformers, motor control panels, and replace / wire 3 phase 480v motors with brakes.
• Replace gear box speed reducers and re-lace or replace conveyor belts of various sizes.
• Understand and maintain air control systems including air compressors, valves, actuators, and cylinders.
• Work with hydraulics, including pumps, hoses, and fittings.
• Maintain trash compactors and corrugated balers.
• Perform maintenance service and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Utilize thorough knowledge of all shop tools.

Work Environment :

The role is based in a Distribution Center spanning over 3 million square feet. Available shifts are Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday, with hours ranging from 6am-2 : 30pm, 2 : 00pm-10 : 30pm, or 10 : 00pm-6 : 30am.

This is a Contract position based out of Moreno Valley, California.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
