The Engineering Tools team plays a crucial role in managing essential tools critical for developer productivityincluding GitHub, BitBucket, SVN, and Perforce for version control, as well as Jira, Confluence for project tracking, Polarion forrequirements management solution, and Artifactory for storing software artifacts. They also manage Mattermost, a widely used communication platform, toensure that all developers can collaborate seamlessly, share information effortlessly, and maintain smooth operations. The team also supportnumerous integrations between these tools, offering tailored solutions to our developer community based on their requirements while ensuringcompatibility of the tools with diverse build tools supporting teams in Firmware, Autopilot, Factory Software, Manufacturing and many others. Throughthese tailored solutions and integrations, the Engineering Tools team facilitates efficient collaboration and productivity across various departments andprojects.
The Staff Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining critical engineering tools like GitHub, Artifactory and Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, JSM, Fisheye) and Polarion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both software engineering and systems administration, with a passion for automating and optimizing processes to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our engineeringtoolset.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement automation solutions for Linux-based infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management
- Administer GitHub Enterprise on-premises environments, including organization and repository management, branch protection, GitHub Actions workflows, security policies, and CI / CD integration
- Manage JFrog Artifactory on-premises repositories for artifact storage, distribution, lifecycle management, security configurations, access controls, replication, and performance optimization
- Support Atlassian application stack (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Fisheye, JSM) on Linux platforms, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and internal application integration
- Administer Polarion on Linux systems, including configuration, OSLC plugin integration, workflows, reports, templates, permissions, and restoration processes
- Maintain Linux-based infrastructure for engineering tools, including system hardening, kernel tuning, filesystem management, and enterprise authentication integration
- Collaborate on integrations between GitHub, Artifactory, Atlassian tools, and CI / CD pipelines using Linux-based deployment strategies
- Monitor system health across Linux infrastructure and cloud environments, with specialized troubleshooting for APIs, storage, network, and application performance
- Execute backups, upgrades, and patch management for engineering tools on Linux platforms, maintaining security compliance and system stability
- Develop documentation and runbooks, participate in on-call rotations for critical incidents, and conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for all managed systems
What You'll Bring
