North Carolina Healthcare Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay : $1680 - $1800 Location : Wilson, NC 27893 (Eastern North Carolina nursing jobs) Setting : Labor & Delivery (L&D), OB / GYN, Med / Surg overflow Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract (Start : 12 / 14 / 2025 - End : 3 / 15 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM), 36 hours / week Weekend Requirement : Rotating every other weekend Call Requirement : Minimal Unit Details : 6 L&D beds, 1 triage / recovery, in-unit OR, postpartum unit with 12 beds Patient Ratios : L&D per AWHONN standards; Postpartum 3-4 : 1 (max 6 : 1) Electronic Health Record : Meditech, GE Centricity L&D Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience BLS certification (AHA) ACLS certification NRP certification Fetal Monitoring class completed within the last 2 years Ability to circulate in the OR for L&D preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills L&D RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit Monitor patients according to AWHONN standards and respond to changes in condition Circulate for cesarean sections and assist in the operating room as needed Float to postpartum or med / surg overflow units as required Accurately document patient care using Meditech and GE Centricity Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional environment for patients and families Why Choose Wilson, NC?
